Anastasiia Lanham, Tumbling Instructor

I have been teaching tumbling and/or rhythmic gymnastics/gymnastics since 2019.

Growing up I participated in Rhythmic Gymnastics for over 10 years. It meant everything to me and became a big part of who I am.

I had always wanted to become a coach, but ultimately chose differently, unsure about my future job security and income. Ironically, the European University in Donetsk, Ukraine, where I received my Bachelor degree in Finance, was renting part of the building from the University of Physical Education and Sports. This is where I actually wanted to go.

Some years forward, in 2008, I moved to the US and kept busy raising our son and daughter with their dad. We lived in adventure mode for a while: living in Hawaii for a couple of years, moving to Nicaragua for a year, and for 3 years we lived in several places in Mexico, on and off a sailboat, and with the addition of a dog! But we always returned to Casper.

I was excited to be able to teach my daughter how to stretch and some skills, even during times when our life made it impossible for her to attend any dance or sports classes. But, initially, she wanted nothing to do with it, imagine that!

And then she watched “Leap!”. She just had to start dancing! Ultimately the dance studio she attended opened a door for me to go back to what I always wanted to do, but no longer considered possible!

Rhythmic gymnastics leans heavily into dance and I feel right at home at the dance studio. I am excited to help kids reach their potential, watch them grow and build friendships and be a part of the experience that no doubt will touch their lives in meaningful ways.

I am excited to continue my journey in teaching tumbling at 307 Dance Academy.

Michelle Steinert, Dance Instructor

Michelle Steinert began dancing at the age of 8 years old at Rising Star Tumbling and Dance Studio. She spent 7 years training in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, contemporary, pointe, and tumbling. She was part of the performance and competition team until she reached the age of 15 years old. Her talents and passions always stayed focused on Ballet. At 15, she transitioned to Rocky Mountain School of Dance to further her Ballet training. She continued dancing and competing at Rocky Mountain through the rest of her teen years. In addition, to her dancing in the studio, Michelle was also a Kelly Walsh Dancer. She was part of the Kelly Walsh Dance team and served as a co-captain in her senior year.

After High School Michelle’s passions transitioned into healthcare and teaching. She was a dance instructor for Rocky Mountain School of Dance and 307 Dance Academy, she has a total of 9 years of teaching experience.

Throughout her teaching, she choreographed many routines that earned high awards in competition. She is proud have mentored many students who have earned high awards for artistic and technical skills. Many of her previous students have continued dance at the college level, pursued careers in dance or have become dance instructors. Currently, Michelle is a Nurse Education Specialist at Banner Health and has a master’s degree in nursing education.

As a dance teacher, Michelle always prioritized inspiring her students to love the art of ballet and to grow in technical skill. She feels it is important for her students to be encouraged, dedicated, driven, and (most importantly) to love dance.
